Solar & Battery Projects Across Southern California
Explore selected Tropos Sun residential and commercial solar projects throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and surrounding Southern California communities.
Los Angeles Commercial Solar Project
This 671 kW commercial solar system features 1,492 high-efficiency 450-watt panels. Designed for a large cold-storage facility in downtown Los Angeles, the project required a new GAF TPO roofing system before installation.
Despite limited rooftop space, the system is expected to offset approximately 30% of the facility’s energy consumption. With an estimated payback period of 8.6 years and a projected 30-year return on investment of 217%, the project delivers substantial long-term energy savings from every available square foot.

San Clemente Commercial Solar Project
This 19.8 kW commercial solar system features 44 high-efficiency, 450-watt panels. Designed to power a commercial building in San Clemente, the system takes advantage of Southern California’s abundant sunshine to generate clean, reliable energy year-round.

La Cañada Flintridge Residential Solar and Battery Storage Project
Designed to meet the energy demands of a large residence, this 30.66 kW solar system features 73 high-efficiency, 420-watt panels. Two battery storage units provide a combined 26 kWh of capacity, helping the homeowner store excess solar energy and reduce electricity costs during peak time-of-use hours.

Los Angeles Residential Solar Project
Designed for a household with three electric vehicles—each driven approximately 25–30 miles per day—this 21.3 kW solar system features 49 high-efficiency, 435-watt panels. The system was carefully sized to support the home’s electricity use and increased EV-charging needs.
A new two-story accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is currently under construction. Solar panels will be added to the ADU as construction progresses, expanding the property’s clean-energy capacity. Project updates are coming soon.

Irvine Residential Solar and Battery Storage Project
This Irvine home features an 8.8 kW solar system paired with 10 kWh of battery storage. Designed to offset approximately 100% of the household’s current annual electricity consumption, the system generates clean energy during the day and stores excess power for use in the evening or during peak-rate hours—delivering greater energy independence throughout the year.

Los Angeles Residential Solar Project
To support the energy needs of a growing household, we designed a 12.4 kW solar system featuring 31 high-efficiency, 400-watt panels. The system was carefully sized after reviewing the home’s utility bills and anticipated future electricity use.
Our site assessment also revealed that the shingle roof was nearing the end of its service life and that the existing 100-amp electrical panel was insufficient for the new system. We recommended a complete reroof and main electrical panel upgrade, both of which the homeowner approved before installation began.

Orange Residential Solar Project
This large family home—with the added energy demands of a swimming pool—required a high-capacity solar solution. We designed a 14.88 kW system featuring 35 high-efficiency, 425-watt panels, projected to offset more than 100% of the home’s current annual electricity consumption.
Because the existing steel roof was unsuitable for the planned installation, the homeowner chose to replace it with a new shingle roof. The result is a durable, solar-ready home positioned to benefit from clean energy and long-term savings for decades to come.

Los Angeles Residential Solar and Battery Project
Located in an area that experiences frequent power outages, this home needed a reliable source of backup electricity for essential household and medical equipment. We designed a 10.25 kW solar system featuring 25 high-efficiency, 410-watt panels, paired with 13 kWh of battery storage.
Just one month after the system was activated, another neighborhood outage occurred. While surrounding homes lost power, the battery system kept the homeowner’s essential equipment and selected circuits running throughout the night, providing the security and peace of mind the family needed.

Murrieta Residential Solar Project
After reviewing the homeowner’s electricity usage and daily routine, we designed a 10.2 kW solar system featuring 24 high-efficiency, 425-watt panels. The system is projected to offset 100% of the home’s current annual electricity consumption while generating additional clean energy.
Within months of activation, the system’s performance gave the homeowner the confidence to move forward with solar installations for two additional properties in the area.

Lake Forest Residential Solar Project
Designed for a household with modest electricity needs, this 4.1 kW solar system features 10 high-efficiency, 410-watt panels. The compact system was carefully sized to match the homeowner’s energy consumption, helping reduce utility costs while providing reliable clean energy for years to come.

La Crescenta Montrose Residential Solar Project
This 10.25 kW residential solar system features 25 high-efficiency, 410-watt panels. Designed to offset the household’s current electricity consumption, the system also provides additional clean-energy capacity to support the homeowner’s planned electric vehicle.

Temecula Residential Solar Project
Designed for a family with moderate, well-managed electricity consumption, this 4.8 kW solar system features 12 high-efficiency, 400-watt panels. The system meets the household’s current energy needs while providing additional capacity for greater comfort and flexibility in the future.

Santa Ana Residential Solar Project
Anticipating a 30–40% increase in household electricity use, the homeowner needed a solar system designed for both current and future energy demands. We developed a 7.23 kW system featuring 17 high-efficiency, 425-watt panels providing additional clean energy capacity as the household’s needs grow.

Lake Forest Residential Solar Project
Built around the needs of a small family with a modern lifestyle, this 4.5 kW solar system features 11 high-efficiency, 410-watt panels. Its thoughtful design delivers dependable clean energy while helping the household reduce its reliance on utility power and manage long-term electricity costs.
